UK Rural Skills

Universitry of Lincoln

This project is supported by the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) for which Defra is the Managing Authority, part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas.

The Training Group is a City & Guilds Approved Centre for a range of Qualifications in Production Horticulture, including Diploma, Certificate and Award.

We deliver a programme that meets the needs of all individuals to achieve their aims, whilst giving consideration to employers and having a full understanding of the needs of the business.  We fit in with you!

Young people who have not attained a Level 2 Qualification may be entitled to funded training to enable them to achieve Levels 2 and 3 in Production Horticulture and Functional Skills leading to an Apprenticeship certificate.

If you already employ or are thinking of taking on a person who would benefit from a structured development programme please talk to Lorna.

Qualifications at Levels 1, 2, 3 & 4 are achieved by a combination of attendance at a series of technical training workshops and workplace experience plus work based performance and assessments.

The following courses are an example of additional training for young people available through SHTG:
